HELP PROVIDE EMERGENCY LOCKDOWN KITS FOR SCHOOL CLASSROOMS

Unfortunately, there are times when our schools are put into a lockdown by public safety officials to ensure student safety. These events may last for a few minutes to many hours.

A classroom lockdown kit is designed to provide emergency supplies for a classroom of up to 30 students in a lockdown situation. When an emergency situation prevents students from being able to leave the classroom, the kit provides essential supplies that can be used in place.

Our goal is to provide every classroom in Mountain View with such a kit.

Thanks to the generosity of Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) we have been able to supply
115 Emergency Lockdown Supply Kits to the Mountain View Whisman School District (MVWSD). These kits were delivered to the schools by the Mountain View Fire Department. However there any many more classrooms that are still without this valuable resource.

Won’t you please join us in helping provide an increased measure of safety and comfort to our children, as well as help our public safety professionals when dealing with often difficult circumstances?
PAL MENTORING FIELD TRIP FUND

Five years ago, the Mountain View Police Activities League (PAL) partnered with the U.S. Department of Justice and National PAL via a grant to create a mentoring program that was designed to strengthen the youth of today within our community. The program has been a huge success and is making a significant difference in the lives of many of the children.

We believe field trips are an essential part of the mentoring program, as they allow the children to see and spend time with their mentors outside of the structured school environment; exposes them to new and different ideas and topics, and allows the mentors to celebrate special occasions with the children and their families.
PAL T-SHIRT FUND FOR 200-300 NEWLY DESIGNED PAL TEES

MVPAL would like to design and purchase new t-shirts that all PAL programs will wear. In the past, t-shirts have been designed for individual programs but found it was not a good use of our resources.

If there were to be one common shirt for all of the kids, people in the community as well as the children who are wearing it, could more easily recognize PAL and what it’s stand for.
