Ellen Wheeler
Ellen Wheeler is a longtime Mountain View resident, retired attorney, former educator, and dedicated community leader with a lifelong passion for public service. She served for 20 years on the Mountain View Whisman School District Board of Trustees, including as Board President, where she helped lead major school modernization projects, support educational programs, and advocate for students, teachers, and families.
In addition to her work in education, Ellen has been actively involved with numerous nonprofit and civic organizations, including the League of Women Voters, the Santa Clara County School Boards Association, Kids in Common, and other initiatives focused on strengthening education and community partnerships.
As a member of the Mountain View Public Safety Foundation Board of Directors, Ellen brings decades of leadership, collaboration, and community engagement to support the Foundation’s mission of investing in first responders, youth programs, and initiatives that strengthen the safety and well-being of the Mountain View community.
