
Pete DeLaOssa
Pete DeLaOsssa was born and raised in Mountain View and started his police career in 1980 joining the Mountain View Police Department. Pete held assignments as a Field Training Officer (FTO), traffic/motorcycle officer, robbery/homicide detective, narcotics/vice detective, personnel & training, Police Sergeant and Department of Justice (DOJ) Major Crimes Unit Supervisor in Santa Clara County. Pete held all leadership positions within the Mountain View Police Officer’s Association including serving as President from 1992 to 1994.
Pete understands the challenges and needs of public safety departments: resources, training, development, equipment, and the need for communities and businesses to support and fund additional programs. Pete’s devotion to the public safety life and his career inspired the inception of MVPSF. Pete and the founders believe that community and corporate support provide the availability of additional resources, training, programs and equipment vital to providing quality service to the community they serve.
