MVPSF is proud to partner with Faith.Wife.Hero and sponsor their Peace officer Wives Conference Saturday, October 14, 2017.

Over 100 attendees registered for a day of encouragement, equipping, and unity. We will explore how to support each other, our community as well as how to cope with dramatic situations in the law enforcement environment. This a great opportunity for the Peace Officer wives from every agency to network, share their experiences and to be educated on the life of their beloved Peace Officer. This will be a full day of fun, information, and encouragement.

Greg Ienni, an officer with MVPD, led the security of the conference with the tremendous support of MVPD Chief Bosel and Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety. Three guest speakers covered topics of:

  • PTSD
  • Hyper Vigilance
  • Suicide Awareness
  • Supporting your Peace Officer/Community

I wanted to send a huge “Thank You” to the Mountain View Public Safety Foundation. I was very pleased and humbled by the success of the conference. It was so great to see a community of women gather and feel supported.

The feedback cards confirmed how much this was needed. All comments were positive and very helpful for our next conference. The women commented how they felt supported, encouraged and loved meeting other women. The women also mentioned how thankful they were to attend a beautiful free event with lunch included. Some women were asking for a 2-day conference and when the next event will take place.

Thank you again for your support and for the financial contribution towards the event. This conference wouldn’t have been as successful without your support. Looking forward to planning the next one.”
