MVPAL Youth Extravaganza 2022

Our inaugural Mountain View PAL youth extravaganza event kicked off on Friday, April 22, 2022 at Rengstorff Park in Mountain View. This carnival-style event brought out over 350 community members to celebrate and support our youth. There were over 110 kids that participated in the physical, health and mental wellness stations that spanned over Rengstorff park.

The stations included: sack races, cornhole, basketball toss, soccer shootout, snow fun, sensory table, obstacle course, ring toss, boxing and a kindness corner where kids could color/create something for their teachers, family members or friends. To top it off – we had a local community business sponsor the 16-foot large bounce house slide for the event. Thank you, Monte Carlo!

The kids received a passport upon arriving at the event and were encouraged to go to each of the stations to collect stamps to fill up their passport. Once done, they turned in the passport and collected a prize from our prize booth. Prizes included: PAL t-shirts, frisbees and fidget toys. Each community member also received a free picnic lunch – cheeseburgers, hot dog, chips, fruit and a drink.

We were happy to partner up with these local organizations: YMCA, MV Explorers, PRAGNYA and Boys Scouts Troop 87 who had booths at the event. The booths made countless positive contacts and received multiple positive inquiries about becoming part of these organizations.

With the overwhelming number of smiles and joy that filled the park last Friday, it is clear to say – we will be doing this event again next year! Thank you, Mountain View, for the amazing turnout.
