MVPSF Board Members Receive Chamber Awards

On May 4, 2023 at the Mountain View Chamber of Commerce’s 28th Annual Celebration of Leaders & ATHENA Awards two of our board members were honored. This singular evening celebrates the outstanding individuals and organizations who have made exceptional contributions and service to the community.

Congratulations to LaDrea Clark for being this year’s Unsung Hero recipient! LaDrea has shown dedication to the community and to the Community Services Agency throughout her 17 years of service. With a unique ability to hear all voices and support everyone she encounters, LaDrea has been instrumental in the retention of hundreds and possibly thousands of volunteers, without whom CSA’s programs could not run.

In addition, LaDrea is currently our secretary of the Mountain View Public Safety Foundation board. She is most deserving of this special award!

Congratulations to Lloyd Curns for being this year’s Mountain View Public Safety Foundation Volunteer of the year recipient! For over 30 years Lloyd has been a youth advocate, and brings extensive training and experience to MVPSF. In 2022, Lloyd retired from Mountain View Police Department as a School Resource Officer. He has deep roots in Youth Services and the PAL program.

Lloyd’s positive and friendly attitude and his professional reputation of serving the Mountain View community make him a valued member to our team. Lloyd is currently the PAL board Chair of Mountain View Public Safety Foundation.
